The Reliance is a debut EP by the instrumental progressive metal project Higher Place, which was released in 2012. This project was created by Jiri Sedlak (guitar - lead, rhythm) and Lubomir Schmied (bass - former bandmate), who started working on the musical material early in 2009. Later they connected with the drummer Daniel Reichel who participated in the track Break The Seventh Seal. Their sound and style of writing is based on technical death metal and neoclassical elements. In this time, Higher Place continues by Jiri Sedlak who is focused on all of the instruments.
